Lack of knowledge regarding the affects that wet and / or contaminated fuel can have on a biomass boiler, consumers have been purchasing poor quality sub-standard fuel unaware of the damage, increased wear and tear, increased maintenance costs and reduced output that has resulted from this type of inadequate fuel.
OFGEM are revising legislation surrounding wood fuels for biomass boilers to make sure it meets, the right moisture content. If you are not burning the correct fuel that the boiler is designated to do so (as detailed within its emission certificate) OFGEM will have the right to take you out of the RHI regime.
Biomass has become very popular in the UK in recent years and there have been reports of significant problems: boilers not running efficiently; expensive periods of downtime; and poor overall performance. Education of the importance of fuel quality and consistency could prevent over 90% of these problems.
ChipChip high quality dry fuel enables boilers to run at a consistently high performance, with maximum efficiency and with low maintenance costs.
ChipChip supply virgin traceable sustainable dry wood chip, processed to British Standards in terms of low moisture content, consistent chip size and a high calorific value, enabling biomass boilers to function precisely as they were designed.
